Firstly, many thanks for the overwhelming response to the Madhatters Banquet trip to Cornwall. We have 50 people going (so far) which should easily ensure it will be a great Weekend for everyone.

Friday Night is Go

The actual Banquet and Party night is on Saturday 30th November. Everyone who has paid their £20 deposit already has a reserved place at the Banquet table, plus full Bed, Board and Breakfast. Many people, however, contacted me about the possibility of reserving a room on the Friday night and making a long weekend of it (which is strongly recommended). This I have now done and the Hotel is exclusively booked on the Friday night for Madhatters. For anyone wishing to stay on the Friday I will require a further £20 for Bed, board & breakfast - see below.

Settling Up

The remaining balance of £21.50 is now due, I need this in as soon as you possibly can. This will be £41.50 if you are staying the Friday also. Finally if you or any friends/ partners want to come to the Banquet it is still possible. As we have such a large group, squeezing a few more in is no problem. Please ring me on 01727 868729 asap to book a place.

Arrangements

You are responsible for Travel arrangements down to Cornwall, though many people on the list are driving and are willing to take passengers. Most of you will have this sorted now, anyone who knows they will have difficulty in getting there can contact Dave as soon as possible. This applies to anyone wanting phone numbers, further info, etc..

You may turn up at the Old School Hotel, Port Isaac anytime after Midday on Friday 29th. It's dead easy to find, especially with the village being so small. Drive down the hill into the village and remember to apply your brakes or you will crash into the Hotel. If you get really lost, ask a local. Cornish interpretation lessons are available form Ashley Pearson or Rob Slinger. Port Isaac is on the West coast of Cornwall and will be in your UK atlas under 'Port Isaac'. The hotel Phone number is (01208) 880721 in case you run into difficulties or need to leave a message. Finally those worried about costumes, fret no further. The Hotel has an ample supply of reasonable outfits, of course if you want to impress and bring your own then extra Brownie points to you.
