DEAR SPAMMERS. WELL DONE. YOU HAVE WON.
We are now going to suspend the Madhatters Chat site for the forseeable future. We did hope that we could remove the problems by suspending the forum but it hasn't worked. If you have withdrawl symptoms you can always use the alternate Madhatters site at Facebook. Latest Discussions Here

Instead of using a password, you could change the URL to something unlikely and circulate it only to genuine Madhatters.

It's back. It's back. Hurrah, hurrah. Thanks y'all. Do you know I don't seem to feel the urge to check the Facebook Madhatters wall anymore. There's something very corporate about it all. I don't like it, I prefer the smelly old Madhatters wall where we can laugh, love and bitch in comfortable surroundings. I am going to reinstate it. Those spammers have surely gone by now? Surely?

Stewart Lee | 7/8/107, 12:50
I saw Stewart Lee last night at the Udderbelly (the C4 sponsored purple upside-down cow). He was angry about Tom O'Connor. Moreso he was angrier about the 20-30 idiots who run TV. I like ranters when they're on your wavelength. Nice one.

Excellent TV nostalgia. The opening B&W Southern TV one - whilst I don't remember that, I spotted the White Cliffs of Dover and Canterbury Cathedral in it. I do remember the colour Southern idents with the guitar playing though....

Admin | 23/7/2007, 11:52
Psi - I think you have the best idea. Using the already-built functionailty of Blogger or Facebook could potentially be the way forward as regulars could be admins. How to do it in a way that keeps the flow of chat going though, that's the key. I have tried doing a Madhatters blog in the past which has failed miserably. Facebook seems to be ideal though. I will have a thunk.

Wouldn't it be a simpler idea to give a select few frequent chatters a way of deleting other people's posts so they can chop this space wasting crap out when they see it. I'm sure Dave hasn't time to do it himself.

davidfoxson = harbinger of erectile doom | 17/7/2007, 22:16
davidfoxson seems to know a lot about viagra. Perhaps its because he's got a long history of erectile problems that have lead to the breakdown of a long and unfulfilling marriage leaving him with no house, no car, kids once a fortnight and unreasonable alimony. His only comfort is the soothing touch of the icey cold barrel of his shotgun resting between his lips......

The good news is Nick has tried all 3 showers! The weather is holding in the late 20s, it is now 8.30 pm and the temperature is 25 degrees.
