Thoughts on the Fringe 2003
This years festival was a week of late nights, great company and
even better entertainment. Madhatters hired five flats at Hermits
Croft, University of Edinburgh. With most of the party arriving on
the Friday and Saturday the week started off running pretty much
from the word go.
As usual the Pleasance and the Greyfriars Bobby proved to be the
best meeting places. With most people being able to meet up after
the day's shows to compare notes and have a drink.
But what was special was that the mix of people was spot on this
year. I felt - as I hope did most of you that there was no
shortage of people to chat and go to shows with. The groups of
friends and people who hadn't met before made for a really good
mix. Thanks to everyone for being, well, just yourselves! All I
can say is that on the strength of most of you at various points
saying that you wanted to go again - I have now made preliminary
bookings for the 2004 festival.
Thanks once again to everyone who came. The great thing
about Edinburgh is going away with a great group of people and you
made it the best year yet.
See you next year hopefully
Dave
