Madhatters reporter Simon Hopes witnessed a rare viewing of the Bruce and Jane Maclean baby girl Charlotte Amy last night - rare because of Bruce's over-bearing attachment to the child since it's birth nine weeks ago. Jane Maclean, his long suffering wife of just over four years now, said, "I just don't get a look in any more. Ever since the birth he's hogged her. He made sure he was the first one to change the nappy, the first to bath her and the first to have his photo taken with her. He wanted to be the first to feed her until I pointed out her body wasn't capable and babies shouldn't be fed beer within the first 24 hours of life."
I tried to get a word with Bruce but he was being a little over protective at the time and, when I asked if I could have a word with Charlotte, he said something unprintable and sat alone in the corner with her.
However, luckily, Bruce is away at work and so Mother and baby are both doing fine during the day. But in the evenings, I have to admit, Bruce is certainly the best father in that house.
