Hannah Emilia Patrick was born on Friday night (3rd Sept), weighing in at a trim 5lb, 15.5 oz. Both Mum and baby are doing well and I am hoping to bring them back from hospital today.
After a day of contractions on Friday, which were just not quite close enough for the hospital to think they were real labour, Caroline and I made a mad last minute dash to Watford General Birthing Centre. After a hairy 20min car ride Caroline was admitted at 10.10pm and our new baby girl was born at 10.49pm.
Caroline and I would like to apologise to Simon (as it was his leaving do), but would like to congratulate him on impeccable timing, vacating his bedroom at the last possible moment. We will try and make it up to you Si!
On our last phone call to the hospital they said that we could come in if it makes us feel better, but we would probably be sent straight home again - note to all prospective parents - go with your intuition.
Hannah of course is the most beautfiul baby ever and I can't wait to get them both home. I will post a picture shortly when I get my film developed (none of this digital mularkey here yet). Thanks to everyone for their kind wishes, right better go.
