Meg passes her exams

News Image

Meg Birks is pleased to announce she has passed her FRCS Orth (the final exam in trauma and orthopaedic surgery and essential for qualifying as a consultant).

"After a year of anxiety, 4 months of studying (to the exclusion of almost everything else in life) and 4 days of nerve jangling exams in Leeds I can proudly call myself a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in the speciality of T&O! I think it was worth it", says Meg.

Asked about her plans, "Mike and I are now planning to re-establish some sort of normality… as least for a while. Must go, the sun is out and the garden centre is calling".
