The University of Hertfordshire Drama Society proudly presents...

It was even just Hatfield Polytechnic for some of you but what exactly did the UHDS/HPDS stand for? Good value at a price that's right? Perhaps. Great acting at a theatre near you? Possibly. A good excuse for a bit of a laugh? Definitely.

From 1988 onwards the University of Hertfordshire/ Hatfield Poly Drama Society produced a wide range of shows, musicals, pantomimes and comedy revues.

Granted,all on an amateur basis, but a fine spread of young acting and technical talent sporned its way from the tiny shoals of Hatfield into the vast oceans of light entertainment. Well, Helen Lederer did anyway, but none of us knew her.
